Spectral Cosmetics certainly does - the soon-to-be-launched makeup line is dedicated to those typically elusive alabaster shades. With the tag line "Pale is beautiful, and it's time to embrace it" they certainly caught my attention.

The blurb from their unfinished website piques my interest even further...

"Tired of searching for obscure cosmetic products that match your fair skin tone? Spectral Cosmetics is developing a line of products that showcase and enhance your complexion to its full potential."

One of my fantasies has always been of creating makeup for the ethereally pale. Besides the lack of lighter foundation and concealer shades, one shopping for makeup can't escape the onslaught of powder, cream, gel, and liquid bronzers and self tanning products put out by every brand under the sun.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good bronzer now and then, but paleness is often treated like acne or wrinkles - everyone assumes it's something you want to hide... and  most cosmetic brands create products accordingly. I'm excited to see a new company with a desire to go in a different direction (...and I'm always excited for a reason to buy more makeup!)

It's important that we remember every skin tone is beautiful and we should each embrace and celebrate what we have!

Around Christmastime I professed my love for the Alexander McQueen Skull Rings and now I have another drool-worthy accessory to lust after - box clutches!

My newest band, The Stage Frights, played March 13th at Resurrection Sunday at Dean's. Here are some pics from the debut show! It was dark, people were drunk and we were loud...

I have some exciting news - Next Sunday, March 13th, will be the debut performance of my latest band, The Stage Frights. This is particularly exciting for me because in this project I'm playing bass! It's straight-up spooky rock n' roll and I should soon have some stuff to share with you here. (In the meantime, you can go to our very-under-construction website and hear some demo tracks)

The show will be at Dean's, 316 Main St, Houston TX

Here are some photos of myself with the lovely Scarlett St. Vitus at Underworld's12th Annual Gothic Beauty Pageant. We were Mistresses of Ceremony for the pageant portion and performed a spooky musical burlesque number for the intermission.
